Re: Mortal Kombat:Shaolin Munks
No bad I like'em, pretty good entertainment. My only feedback is as follows.
Episode 1 - Reptile changing from MK1 to MK2 (last panel) kind of throws it off, I think it would be better to cut off MK2's head and paste it onto Mk1's body for future instances like that, consistency through panels.
Episode 6 - Really like the fact of Santa's movement showing the in the background to show time differences.
Episode 15-16 - I think would be more visually appealing if the Barakas didn't all have the same stance, but great work on the different heads.
Overall I love the way the characters interact, they react to each other and aren't just standing there like some other comics do. Very well done, look forward to seeing more.

I noticed that too after i made it, theres also an inconsistency with the bg of the first two panels regarding the masked guards

They aren't, they are very, very similar, but i used all nine(or ten) fighting sprites when i made the characters, however, i understand what you mean by different stances.

Re: Mortal Kombat:Shaolin Munks
The humor is good, Kahn with a Cat, Reiko being a queer poser, unlocking Johnny Cage and everyone hating him. There's a lot of comic potential, but it seems like some of the story and/or jokes go unfinished. In Episode 5 there is a bit about the rocks and the skeletons but it doesn't finish the point, I feel I should be laughing at something there, but I don't see what it is. Also it doesn't explain how they got to the top of the bridge in Ep 6 immediately after explaining that they had no idea how to do it. Even if you want to leave it unexplained, it still needs to be adressed. Try looking at "Big Trouble in Little China" : "How did you get up there?" "Wasn't easy!"
Also at episode 13 there is absolutely no dialogue beyond growling, followed by 14 which also is action heavy with a single one-liner at the end. It's not a good idea to keep fans waiting several days to be rewarded with only a one-liner unless the action is visually stunning beyond the norm of the comic.
Ep 15 by the way, does not have a number in the title.
Of course, don't take my criticism too hard, I am a nit-picker and a perfectionist (which is why Ratcoon took me as his co-writer) and am far from immune to criticism myself, so I have no intention of calling the kettle black. Basically I see that you have a lot of potential, I like your humor, I like your story progression rate, it just needs a little polishing at the details.
And now, I shall spare you from reading any more of my ridiculously long post as I cease my babbling.
Oh yeah, and nice to meet you. Welcome to our forum!

I usually just say "I don't care I'm going to do it my way anyway" to Daedalus if I don't agree with his info or just feel like saying I like mine better, if that helps with yours Jironobou. :)

This is the exact reason I put this here, like I said, any feedback is good feedback, some of the stuff you said had never been mentioned before (although i noticed the Ep.15 part already) so I thank you (and Ratcoon) and i will fix those errors(along with others i've noticed) at a later date.

Re: Mortal Kombat:Shaolin Munks
Your welcome, like-wise for MMKR anything you see broken or that seems out of place or any other feedback you have - we welcome it, and in most cases we will correct it - though sometimes I may say as stated above:
but that's pretty rare.
Originally the idea was to attach a topic, the episodes section, to each episode so that comments/feedback for each could be talked about amongst fans/creators alike, but as at the time their weren't enough active members it kind of stopped - didn't want too many empty topics.
PS #8 is my favorite.

Re: Mortal Kombat:Shaolin Munks
Interesting, though I'm not sure about the body parts - I am assuming that they are supposed to be raiden's from him exploding. I'd suggest a few frames of raiden exploding with parts flying up in the air to eliminate the confusion and I'd probably run it at 15fps, looks like it's on 10fps and seems a little too fast. Just my 2 cents.
Love the concept though - kicking his head back at him.
